SAMPE China 2018 conference and the 13th advanced composite products, raw materials, tooling and Engineering Application Exhibition will be held in Shanghai Everbright Exhibition Center from May 16 to 18, 2018. At the same time, this is the 13th annual meeting of SAMPE in China.
 
Materials are one of the important bases for China's manufacturing industry to take off. With the development of science and technology, especially the rapid development of cutting-edge science and technology, the performance requirements of materials are more and more high, so advanced composite materials came into being. Now, it is an important material to support the cutting-edge manufacturing industry such as aviation, aerospace, new energy, rail transit, automobile lightweight, medical, intelligent equipment, green building, etc., and also drives the technological progress of relevant application industries and the transformation of national economic structure.
 
As the largest activity of the international society of advanced materials and manufacturing engineering (SAMPE) in Asia, SAMPE China annual meeting has become a brand international platform leading China's technology upgrading and product upgrading in the field of cutting-edge manufacturing, promoting the application of advanced composite materials engineering, and promoting the cooperation and exchange of production, learning and research. The 12th SAMPE China annual meeting just concluded in May attracted more than 5000 representatives from 16 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Russia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, Ukraine, Israel, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Singapore and Taiwan. Among them, the exhibition area has reached a record 1100m2, and all kinds of advanced composite structural parts, design simulation technology and CAE tools, reinforcement fiber, matrix materials, process equipment, testing instruments, connection and assembly, engineering and application, composite recycling technology, etc. have been exhibited in the whole industrial chain, with nearly 170 exhibitors. This year, two special exhibition areas have been added, i.e. composite digital and visual demonstration area and safety protection area. Leading enterprises in the industry have comprehensively demonstrated their advanced products and technologies in these two fields. On the fourth super carbon fiber experience day, high-tech products, such as C919 rear fuselage shell, spoiler joint, carbon fiber bus, composite bridge, composite mirror, infrared shield for space, deformed wing, intelligent mold, were invited to participate in the exhibition. The three-day exhibition attracted 8629 visitors from application units, universities and research institutes in the fields of aviation, aerospace, automobile, high-speed train, ship, energy, electronics, infrastructure, etc.
 
At the same time of the annual meeting, the Organizing Committee organized a variety of industry exchange activities, including the 12th SAMPE China annual meeting international academic conference, 9th SAMPE super light composite bridge / wing student competition, the 4th super carbon fiber experience day, new products & technical information conference, SAMPE composite industrial products DIY design and production competition, new energy vehicles and composite materials Material application salon, etc.    
 
The theme of this annual meeting is: advanced composite materials, leading the innovation and development of green industry. We will continue to promote the technical exchange and engineering integration of advanced composite design technology, application technology, process preparation method and industrial field, promote the wider application of high-performance composite materials in industrial field, and improve the innovation level and international competitiveness of China's advanced manufacturing industry. The meeting language is Chinese and English.
