The 2024 China International Low Altitude Economy Industry Expo (GESA), jointly organized by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, is aimed at promoting the landing of low altitude economy industry applications and supporting the high-quality development of national strategic emerging industries.

The 2023 Central Economic Work Conference elevated the low altitude economy to the level of strategic emerging industries, and it was also included for the first time in the 2024 government work report. The "low altitude economy" was included in the government work report, clearly stating that the development of the low altitude economy is a new growth engine. The Civil Aviation Administration of China has actively implemented relevant plans, revised more than 30 civil aviation regulations, initially established a general aviation standard and regulatory system, and promoted the construction of a low altitude flight service guarantee system. Low altitude economy is a strategic emerging industry in global competition and an important direction for cultivating and developing new quality productivity. Currently, 27 provinces across the country have clearly prioritized the development of low altitude economy; Meanwhile, more than a dozen cities have also proposed to accelerate the development of low altitude economy. Low altitude economy, as a strategic emerging industry, has broad development space and growth prospects, and is increasingly becoming a new growth point for regional economy.

The low altitude economy is showing strong development momentum on a global scale, and many countries have formed large-scale industrial ecosystems. Low altitude economy, as a highly dynamic and promising emerging industry, is changing our way of life and economic landscape at an unprecedented speed. China's low altitude airspace, as an underutilized natural resource, has great development value. According to public data, the scale of China's low altitude economy has exceeded 500 billion yuan in 2023 and is expected to reach 2 trillion yuan by 2030. The development of low altitude economy requires the market as the foundation, airspace as the key, and policies as the guarantee. With the support of policies, China's low altitude application scenarios continue to enrich, and the low altitude economy is expected to become an important engine for promoting high-quality economic and social development.

In this new situation, national policies serve as guidance, refine national policy measures, and guide high-quality development of low altitude economy. The decision to organize the 2024 China International Low Altitude Economy Industry Expo (GESA) at the High tech Fair is aimed at promoting the application of low altitude economy industries and supporting the high-quality development of national strategic emerging industries.
