The number of teahouses in Chongqing city can be seen from the report of Xinmin daily in March 1947: "there are as many as 2659 teahouses in the urban area of NiuDao, which is less than 9 square kilometers in area", which shows the flourishing tea drinking style of Chongqing people.
Chongqing is one of the countries of origin of tea plants in the world. It has a history of more than 3000 years. There are 40 districts (cities) and counties in Chongqing, and 37 districts (cities) and counties plant tea plants. Ten thousand tea farmers are directly engaged in tea production. The annual output of tea is nearly 20000 tons, and the output value is about 300 million yuan.
