In April 2019, Vietnam Saigon textile exhibition had 1042 textile machinery, surface accessories, yarn, chemical industry and textile industry related companies from 25 countries, with an exhibition area of 33000 square meters. 17% higher than in 2018. The four-day exhibition attracted 28802 professional visitors to visit and negotiate.
Market Overview: [Vietnam cloth and ingredients market has huge potential]
In 2018, Vietnam's textile and garment exports reached US $28 billion, accounting for 17% of the total value of Vietnam's total merchandise exports in this period. Vietnam will reach its annual goal of exporting 30 billion US dollars of textile products. This is mainly due to Vietnamese textile manufacturers' implementation of good textile market information forecast, efforts to consolidate foreign markets and enter new markets.

By the end of October this year, Vietnam's textile exports to the European Union, the United States and Japan had increased by 41%, 14% and 52% respectively compared with the same period last year. In terms of opening up new markets, Vietnam's textile exports to South Korea, Taiwan and Canada in the first 10 months of this year also delivered a good report card, of which exports to South Korea reached 753 million US dollars, an increase of 128% over the same period last year. In 2019, it will be able to export 30 billion US dollars of textiles, an increase of 10% - 12% compared with this year. Among them, the EU, the United States and Japan are still important markets for textile export of Vietnam, accounting for 80% of the total textile export amount.

Vietnam's textile exports reached US $30 billion in 2018
Hanoi, Xinhua news agency, Jan. 14 (special telegram) Vietnam garment and textile group released a forecast that due to the gradual recovery of the international economic situation, Vietnam's textile export situation is gratifying, and it is expected that Vietnam's textile export will reach 30 billion US dollars in 2018. According to the group's data, in 2010, Vietnam's textile and garment exports reached US $11.2 billion, an increase of 23%, making Vietnam the fifth largest textile exporter in the world.
The rapid growth of textile exports last year was due to the gradual recovery of the world economy after the crisis and the shift of many orders from China to Vietnam. The group said that in addition to maintaining the traditional market, Vietnamese textiles are expanding market share in new markets such as Taiwan, South Korea and ASEAN countries. At the end of last year, many textile manufacturers in Vietnam have signed supply contracts to the second quarter of 2018, with the unit price of contract processing increased by 6% - 7% compared with that in 2017. Vietnam garment and textile group predicts that by 2019, the export volume of the whole industry will reach US $35 billion, which will become the main export sector of Vietnam.
