Italy international food industry fair is one of the largest and most influential professional food trade exhibitions in the world. The exhibition, which is held every two years by Milan International Exhibition Company, has become the leading exhibition in the food industry.

The last exhibition (2017) lasted four days, with 2850 enterprises from 40 countries and regions participating in the exhibition, attracting 80146 professional trade visitors from 141 countries and regions. Official agents from 55 countries and regions attended the exhibition, including the Ministry of agriculture, the Ministry of food, the mayor of Milan, etc. at the same time, former US President Barack Obama was invited as a special guest. During the exhibition, there were 2902 official journalists and 4201 media participated in the coverage of the exhibition.

The exhibition mainly includes 12 product exhibition areas, including refrigerated food, flour food, dairy products, baked goods, meat products, green vegetable food, candy products, cooked food products, seafood, groceries, alcoholic beverages, edible oil, etc., covering the whole industry chain of food from raw materials to food processing industry, and then to food terminal sales.

In 2016, China's food industry achieved a year-on-year growth of - 2.21% in cumulative exports. Among them, the cumulative export of condiments and fermented products increased by - 1.71% year-on-year; the cumulative export of canned products increased by - 7.1% year-on-year; the cumulative export of candy and preserves increased by 1.72% year-on-year; the cumulative export of convenience food increased by 1.84%; the cumulative export of baked cakes and cereals expanded and baked food increased by 2.24% year-on-year; the cumulative export of cocoa products increased by - 3.66% year-on-year; and the cumulative export of sugar The cumulative export volume achieved a year-on-year growth of 78.6%; the cumulative export volume of dairy products achieved a year-on-year growth of 5.04%.
