China phosphate and compound fertilizer industry exhibition was founded in 2000. Before that, China's phosphate and compound fertilizer products could not be self-sufficient and needed to be imported in large quantities every year. In 2000, in order to publicize domestic brands and encourage domestic enterprises to increase production of phosphate and compound fertilizer, the former State Economic and Trade Commission proposed that, with the support of the Ministry of agriculture, China national supply and Marketing Federation and the former State Petrochemical Bureau, China phosphate and fertilizer industry association undertook the "production and marketing meeting of domestic high concentration phosphate and compound fertilizer" (attached with exhibition), which has been held once a year since then. In 2004, due to the cancellation of the State Economic and Trade Commission and the State Petrochemical Bureau, the conference was hosted and organized by China phosphate fertilizer industry association and renamed as "20 * * China phosphate and compound fertilizer industry exhibition and the * national high concentration phosphate and compound fertilizer production and marketing conference".
