It is required that by 2020, the energy consumption of the province's 10000 yuan GDP will be 16% lower than that of 2015, and the total energy consumption will be controlled within 178.49 million tons of standard coal. The total emissions of chemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and volatile organic compounds in the province were respectively controlled within 1085700 tons, 135800 tons, 470500 tons, 422400 tons and 884500 tons, which were 10.1%, 10.1%, 21%, 15% and 10% lower than that in 2015. The total phosphorus emission of Changde, Yiyang and Yueyang City decreased by more than 10%. Therefore, the government of Hunan Province takes the green energy-saving and low-carbon industry as one of the six strategic emerging industries in the province. The energy-saving and environmental protection industry and new energy industry show a rapid development trend, the industrial scale continues to expand, and the main business income of the energy-saving and environmental protection industry has already stepped into a hundred billion steps.
In this context, Hunan Province decided to hold "2018 China (Chenzhou) energy conservation and emission reduction and new energy industry expo", vigorously promote energy conservation and emission reduction of traditional industries, cultivate strategic emerging industries, consolidate the development platform of low-carbon industries, and build a green low-carbon industry system. At the same time, it also aims to strengthen the promotion and application of energy conservation and environmental protection technology in Hunan Province and the whole central region of China, enhance the technological innovation ability of energy conservation and environmental protection enterprises, support enterprises to introduce talents and technology, strengthen foreign technical cooperation, build a communication platform, create business opportunities, and effectively promote the sustainable development of energy conservation and environmental protection industry.
