According to the statistics of relevant national departments, by the end of 2016, Fujian had a permanent population of 37.74 million. By the end of the year, there were 7672 medical and health institutions at all levels, including 541 hospitals and 880 health centers. From 2009 to 2014, the number of beds of all kinds of medical institutions at all levels in the province increased by about 10000 annually, the number of health technicians increased by about 15000 annually, the number of outpatient and emergency patients increased by 10.4 million annually, and the number of inpatients increased by 410000 annually.
