INTRODUCTION

The East China Import and Export Fair (CFETS) is supported by the Ministry of Commerce of the people's Republic of China and jointly sponsored by nine provinces and cities, including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Nanjing and Ningbo. It is held in Shanghai every March.
Since 1991, the China Fair has successfully held 28 sessions and has become a regional international economic and trade event with large scale, the largest number of merchants, the widest coverage and high turnover in China. According to statistics, there were 53635 overseas merchants and 36613 domestic merchants from 114 countries and regions in the last China Fair. The number of overseas merchants increased by 1.2% compared with that of the 26th China Fair, and the number of new overseas merchants reached 23063, accounting for 43% of the total number of overseas merchants.
