As an international, interactive and experiential large-scale science popularization activity, the city science festival has been successfully held for five times since it was first held in 2014. More than 600 science popularization activities from more than 20 countries and regions have participated in the Science Festival. More than 1000 science activities, including interactive science exhibitions, science workshops, science popularization lectures, forums, competitions, performance shows, films and so on, have been held, receiving more than 400000 visitors. The city science festival was selected as one of the top ten science popularization events in China in 2014 organized and selected by China Association for science and technology.

 

Purpose of activity
The City Science Festival is committed to building an ecological science and education industry chain, integrating scientific research institutions, science and technology venues, science and technology bases, science and technology enterprises, primary and secondary schools, science and education media and other social resources, and creating a carnival style science theme park. During the activity, various course experiences, interactive workshops, teacher training meetings, and course joining instruction will help professional institutions interested in science education broaden their horizons and improve their abilities. More than 100000 visitors are present every year, greatly improving the brand influence of exhibitors. Users' on-site experience helps event designers improve and perfect products and courses.

 
In 2019, the city science festival will be held in China's Soong Ching Ling Youth Science and Technology Cultural Exchange Center. At that time, science and technology museums, public interest organizations, science and technology enterprises from the United States, Britain, Germany, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, India, Nigeria, Japan and other countries will be invited to hold rich exhibitions together with their counterparts from China's science and technology, art and culture sessions Activities such as reading, performance, film, lecture, interactive workshop, art salon, book reading, etc. integrate science, art and culture, so that the audience can fully experience the charm of science.
