The 15th Five Year Plan clearly proposes to cultivate and strengthen emerging and future industrial clusters, and the rubber and plastic industry, as an important sector in the field of new materials, will usher in new development opportunities. Jingzhou is the "China Rubber and Plastic Pipe Industry Base" and a national level small and medium-sized enterprise characteristic industrial cluster, gathering more than 2000 rubber and plastic product related enterprises, covering 17 categories and thousands of varieties such as rubber and plastic pipes, seals, engineering rubber, etc. The domestic market share of hydraulic hoses exceeds 40%, with a strong industrial foundation and outstanding industry advantages. Currently, the rubber and plastic industry in Jingzhou is accelerating its transformation towards intelligence, greenness, and sustainability.

The first Jingzhou Rubber and Plastic Industry Expo in 2025 was successfully held, providing an efficient collaborative docking platform for the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, promoting industrial exchange and resource integration, and effectively promoting the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of Jingzhou and the national rubber and plastic industry. Based on the fruitful results of the first exhibition and in response to the new needs of industrial upgrading, the 2026 Second China (Jingzhou) Rubber and Plastic Industry Expo has kicked off with great fanfare.
