uhai City, a prefecture level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, is one of the central cities of the Pearl River Delta and an important scenic and tourist city along the southeast coast. Located in the southwest of ujiangkou, Guangdong Province, it faces Hong Kong across the sea in the East, Macau in the south, Xinhui District and Taishan City in Jiangmen City in the west, ongshan City in the north. In 1959, it was merged into ongshan County. In April 1961, the organizational system of uhai county was restored and the county government was stationed in Xiangou. In March 1979, it was changed to uhai City; in November, it was determined to be a provincial city.
