In order to actively respond to the national strategy of industrial power and promote the new quality productivity to provide new momentum for the construction of a manufacturing power, Shanxi Province implemented the "229" project of manufacturing industry revitalization, formulated the Action Plan of Shanxi Province to Accelerate the Promotion of New Industrialization (2024-2030), which will comprehensively implement the "1231" plan of manufacturing industry revitalization and upgrading, closely follow a set of high-quality development target system of manufacturing industry, establish a set of implementation assurance mechanism, accelerate the construction of a modern manufacturing system that reflects the advantages of Shanxi characteristics, and promote the practice of Chinese path to modernization to build a strong material and technological foundation. Intelligent manufacturing is regarded as the main direction for building a strong manufacturing country, and it is also a "strong springboard" for our province's industry to achieve quality and efficiency improvement. With the continuous deepening of high-end, intelligent, and green industries, Shanxi's industry is moving more steadily and effectively towards "new" and "green" development. The 2025 China (Shanxi) Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Expo (SIME) will be held from August 21-23, 2026 at the Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanxi. After years of accumulation, it has become one of the important exhibitions in China's industrial manufacturing industry.

The 2025 China (Shanxi) Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Expo was successfully held on November 13th at the Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanxi. Co hosted by Shanxi Equipment Manufacturing Vocational Education Group and Yige Exhibition (Shanxi) Co., Ltd., supported by multiple business/academic/association organizations including Shanxi Mechanical Engineering Society, Shanxi Mold Industry Association, Taiyuan Casting Association, Shanxi Medical Equipment Industry Association, Shanxi Guangli Machinery Processing Industrial Park, Taiyuan Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, Dingxiang County Flange Forging Association, Taiyuan Exhibition Industry Association, etc., and organized by Yige Exhibition (Shanxi) Co., Ltd., more than 280 brand enterprises from the domestic high-end equipment manufacturing industry exhibited on site; Representatives, legal representatives, general managers, chief engineers, technical personnel, and procurement departments from various manufacturing enterprises also visited the site. The number of visitors on the first day has exceeded 8000, with a signing amount of about 15 million on the first day, and the total number of attendees during the conference has exceeded 26000.

It is reported that in this exhibition, the number of participating companies from CNC machine tools, lathes, machining centers, laser equipment, industrial robots, and peripheral supporting products reached 90%.
