Water is the foundation of people's livelihood and the necessity of ecology. Ensuring the stable supply of high-quality drinking water and the safe operation of the water supply and drainage system is the core bottom line of urban water management, and also the fundamental support for building livable, resilient, and smart cities.

At present, the national "15th Five Year Plan" is being comprehensively promoted, continuously increasing investment in urban water infrastructure, focusing on core tasks such as ensuring drinking water safety, intelligent treatment of pipeline leaks, improving the quality and efficiency of water supply systems, and integrating urban and rural water supply and drainage, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the water industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green development.

Yunnan, as the core implementation area of the "Revitalizing Water and Moisturizing Yunnan" strategy, is also an important radiation center for South Asia and Southeast Asia in China. It is vigorously carrying out special actions related to "drinking and purifying water", accelerating key projects such as pipeline network renovation and urban-rural water supply integration, deepening the coordinated development mechanism of water affairs in the southwest region, and gradually forming a development pattern of policy interconnection and integration, effective demand complementarity, and industrial synergy.

In order to seize the national strategic opportunities and gather regional development forces, we have specially planned to hold the "2026 Southwest (Kunming) Urban Water Supply and Drainage Expo" with the theme of "Water Revitalizing the Country, Clean Drinking and Protecting People's Livelihood". It will be held from November 16-18, 2026 at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming. This expo focuses on the development of regional water affairs and water supply and drainage, aiming to build a professional platform that integrates technology exchange, product display, trade cooperation, and cross-border docking.
