Tongcheng City is the third largest packaging and printing base in China, and has been awarded titles such as "China Packaging and Printing Industry Base" and "China Green Packaging Innovation Pilot Zone". After more than 40 years of development, the green packaging industry in the city has more than 4000 production and distribution enterprises, including 443 food grade certified packaging enterprises and 212 enterprises above designated size. In 2022, the output value reached nearly 30 billion yuan. The products range from ordinary flexible packaging to high-level vacuum coated pharmaceutical packaging, gradually forming a full industry chain development pattern integrating raw material supply, injection molding, blown film, plate making, printing, bag making, and lid making. We have innovation platforms such as the National Polymer Quality Inspection Center, the National Innovation Space (Qingtong Innovation), the Strait Entrepreneurship Incubator, and the Provincial Skills Master Studio. For seven consecutive years, the China Tongcheng Plastic Packaging Machinery Exhibition has been held. We have jointly established an industrial research and development center with Hefei University of Technology, and have established industry university research cooperation with more than 10 universities and institutions including Xi'an University of Technology, Jiangnan University, and Beijing Institute of Printing.
