The East China Import and Export Fair (referred to as "Huajie Fair", official website "") is jointly hosted by 9 provinces and cities including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Nanjing, and Ningbo, and organized by Shanghai Huajiao Convention and Exhibition Operation Service Co., Ltd. The China International Fair for Trade and Industry (CIFTIS) is one of the largest regional international economic and trade events in China, with the largest number of merchants, the widest coverage, and the highest transaction volume.

Since 1991, the China International Fair for Trade and Industry has successfully held 32 sessions. The 32nd China International Fair was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, with an exhibition area of 126500 square meters and a total of 5720 booths. There are four major professional themed exhibitions, including clothing and apparel exhibition, textile and fabric exhibition, household goods exhibition, decoration and gift exhibition, as well as two major professional exhibition areas, namely overseas exhibition area and cross-border e-commerce exhibition area. There are 3748 participating companies, including 326 overseas participating companies. The 32nd China International Fair for Trade and Industry (CIFTIS) attracted buyers from 111 countries and regions, with over 40000 domestic and foreign buyers attending and a total transaction volume of 2.21 billion US dollars during the exhibition period.

On the morning of March 1st, the 32nd East China Import and Export Fair (referred to as the "Fair") opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The opening ceremony was themed "Focusing on Improving Quality and Upgrading, Solidly Promoting High Quality Development of Foreign Trade". Zhu Min, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and Zhang Zion, Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, attended and delivered speeches. Lian Ping, Chairman of the China Chief Economist Forum and Vice President of the Shanghai Economic Society, gave the opening speech. Guests including Zhang Jie, Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industry Crafts, Kenji Mizuta, Chief Representative of the Japan External Trade Organization Shanghai Representative Office, Ji Shengjun, President of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export and President of Oriental International (Group) Co., Ltd., and Li Dong, President of Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co., Ltd., attended the event. The opening ceremony was presided over by Shen Weihua, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce.
