Exhibition Introduction

The 10th Indonesia International Solar Energy Exhibition was successfully held from April 23-25, 2025. More than 400 exhibitors, including well-known domestic module companies Jinko, JA Solar, Tianhe, Zhengxin, as well as leading inverter companies Jinlang, Sunac Power, and Gurewat, participated in the exhibition and gained a lot from it. Thanks to the strong support of Indonesian government policies and the recognition of the Indonesian photovoltaic market by numerous exhibitors, the 2026 Indonesia International Solar Energy Exhibition will be held as scheduled from April 22nd to 24th. At that time, the Indonesia International Solar Energy Exhibition, along with the Indonesia International Battery Exhibition, Indonesia International Wind Energy, Hydrogen Energy and Bioenergy Exhibition, Indonesia International Lighting Exhibition, and Indonesia International Smart City Exhibition, will be held together, making this exhibition the largest and most successful one-stop exhibition and conference in the ASEAN region. At the same time, this exhibition has received strong support from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and government departments, providing an excellent communication and procurement platform for local buyers and energy solution suppliers in the solar energy, energy storage, and lighting industries every year, and showcasing their latest technologies and innovations to international suppliers from the photovoltaic industry chain

The achievements provide opportunities.

Market News

Indonesia is located in Southeast Asia, in a tropical region very close to the equator. The average solar radiation resources in Indonesia are about 4.8 KWh/m2/day.

Indonesia has over 17000 islands and a population of 270 million. In recent years, Indonesia's economy has grown rapidly and is considered one of the most promising dynamic markets in the energy industry. However, the country's electricity penetration rate is only 56%, and the Indonesian government is vigorously developing solar, wind, and lighting projects based on the "Thousand Islands Country". The huge market demand has become the preferred country for Chinese enterprises to explore overseas markets. At present, the photovoltaic market in Indonesia is still in its infancy. The local government has introduced a series of favorable policies for photovoltaics, aiming to achieve a solar installed capacity of 29.3GW by 2030 and 264.6GW by 2050.

Indonesia has a photovoltaic power generation potential of at least 207GW and has always been one of the major photovoltaic markets in Southeast Asia. Indonesia plans to install approximately 5.3GW of photovoltaic systems by 2030. Therefore, the country plans to build several photovoltaic module production factories, and after these factories are put into operation, they can fully supply photovoltaic modules, thereby promoting Indonesia to accelerate the deployment of photovoltaic systems.

At the end of 2024, Yongfu Co., Ltd. received the "Notice of Award" for the 200MWac Mountain Photovoltaic and 80MW/80MWh Energy Storage System Project in the Sulawesimorovali Industrial Park of PT Sumber Energi Surya Morowali, Indonesia, with a bid amount of 140 million US dollars (equivalent to approximately 1.006 billion RMB). The project is invested by SESNA of Indonesia and Shengke Corporation of Singapore, located in Morowali County, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It includes a 200MWac photovoltaic power station, an 80MW/80MWh battery energy storage system, supporting step-up substations, and overhead transmission lines. It is currently the largest photovoltaic storage project in Indonesia. The smooth implementation of the project will effectively improve local energy utilization efficiency, optimize the energy supply structure, and ensure the growing demand for electricity in the area. This project is also the first overseas photovoltaic storage general contracting project of Yongfu Co., Ltd. According to the winning bid notice, the company is fully responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project. The process of going out to sea is accelerating again! The winning bid for the photovoltaic storage project in Sulawesimorovali Industrial Park, Indonesia is an important breakthrough for Yongfu Group's new energy+energy storage business sector in the international market, fully demonstrating the company's international market development strength and brand recognition.

At the recently concluded G20 summit, Indonesia's newly elected President Prabowo Subianto announced that over the next 15 years, Indonesia has committed to building more than 75GW of renewable energy projects domestically and stopping the operation of coal-fired power plants and all fossil fuel power plants. In addition, the country plans to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, mainly relying on renewable energy and biodiesel. During the COP29 conference, Hashim Djojo hadikusumo, the Indonesian envoy for energy and climate change, stated that the government plans to add 100 GW of energy capacity by 2040, of which 75% will come from renewable energy sources, including 25 GW of hydropower, 27 GW of solar energy, 15 GW of wind energy, 7 GW of geothermal energy, and 1 GW of biomass energy. Indonesia's state-owned power company PT PLN has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementing 75GW of renewable energy capacity. This batch of projects requires at least $235 billion in investment, including the construction of transmission lines from various islands to demand centers.

On November 9, 2024, Xinhua News Agency released a joint statement between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Indonesia on promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership and building a community with a shared future between China and Indonesia. According to the joint statement, both sides will work together to cultivate new driving forces that lead global development and progress, deeply tap into the potential of cooperation in new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, photovoltaics, and seize opportunities in new quality productivity cooperation such as digital economy and green development. China supports Indonesia's efforts to accelerate energy transition and will engage in more high-quality cooperation with Indonesia in clean energy industries, energy infrastructure, and other areas.
