The total length of the project line is about 2681 kilometers, spanning the three geographical steps of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, the the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, and the hills of South China. The core hub of the sending end is located in Changdu and Nyingchi, Xizang. Changdu, relying on the advantages of clean energy enrichment in the Yuqu River and the Klolong River basins, has become the "source hub" of the project's green power collection, and the receiving end radiates to the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, which has irreplaceable strategic significance for the optimal allocation of clean energy across regions in China, the revitalization of eastern Tibet, and the green development of the Greater Bay Area.

As a gateway to eastern Tibet and a transportation hub at the junction of Sichuan, Tibet, Yunnan, and Qinghai, Changdu has become a core node for the development and export of clean energy in eastern Tibet, relying on the three-dimensional transportation network constructed by the Sichuan Tibet Railway (under construction), G317/G214 National Highway, and Bangda Airport. In conjunction with the Quality Inspection Institute of the Xizang Autonomous Region, the High Altitude Test Base of the State Grid and the Energy Industry Association, we promoted the implementation of the technical specifications for ultra-high altitude ultra-high voltage equipment, the operation and maintenance standards for power transmission projects in the snow mountain permafrost areas in eastern Tibet, the technical requirements for the adaptation of plateau clean energy equipment, and other scarce specifications in the industry.
