The China ASEAN Expo is jointly hosted by the economic and trade departments of the governments of China and the ten ASEAN countries, as well as the ASEAN Secretariat. It is the only cross-border economic and trade event in China to date, held annually in Nanning, Guangxi.

The China ASEAN Business and Investment Summit will be held concurrently with the China ASEAN Expo.

The 22nd China ASEAN Expo will be held in Nanning, Guangxi from September 17th to 21st. With the theme of "building a home together, destiny and future together, promoting the high-quality development of the the Belt and Road and building an economic growth center", this Expo focuses on the digital economy, green economy and other key areas of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area version 3.0, expands the participation scale of new generation information technology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing and other enterprises, and helps strategic emerging industries to explore the international market.

The total exhibition area of the previous East Expo was 102000 square meters, with foreign exhibition areas accounting for over 30%. The economic and trade effectiveness of the exhibition has reached a new height. According to statistics, foreign countries account for more than 30%, with 5400 booths and a total of 1953 companies from 46 countries participating (including 350 Fortune 500 companies, China's Fortune 500 companies, and well-known enterprises, including nearly 90 star companies such as gazelles, unicorns, and specialized and innovative enterprises), an increase of 18.2% compared to the previous session. Among them, 738 foreign participating companies (including 644 from ASEAN) account for 37.8% of the total number of participating companies. The scale and proportion of ASEAN exhibitions remain the largest in China's international exhibitions; Seven countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam have resumed their exhibition halls and restored the ASEAN "Charm City" exhibition area. A total of 104 procurement groups participated, including 55 international groups, accounting for 52.9%, and held more than 70 economic and trade promotion activities!

From 2004 to 2024, the China ASEAN Expo has been successfully held for 201 sessions. Many foreign leaders, ministerial level officials, and business leaders attend each session, and countries around the world are highly optimistic about the exchange platform of the Expo. The enthusiasm for participating and exhibiting has been increasing year by year.

Participating in the China ASEAN Expo are not only the ten ASEAN countries and China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Iran, Nepal and Sri Lanka in Asia, but also France, Italy, Russia and Poland in Europe, Brazil in the Americas, Australia, New Zealand in Australia, South Africa and Ghana in Africa, as well as many "the Belt and Road" countries in Central Asia and the Middle East.

The booth of the 22nd China ASEAN Expo includes multiple topics such as commodity trade, investment cooperation, service trade, advanced technology, and the "Charm City". Among them, the commodity trade exhibition area includes the commodity exhibition area of ASEAN countries, the commodity exhibition area of countries along the "the Belt and Road" and countries around the world, and the Chinese commodity exhibition area to display commodities from all over the world..

During the Expo, in addition to showcasing products from various countries, a series of trade and investment promotion activities, market promotion activities, supply-demand docking activities, as well as high-level professional forums on finance, information ports, transportation, tourism, agriculture, minerals, environmental protection, and technological cooperation will also be arranged.
