Overview of Consumer Expo

The International Consumer Goods Expo (referred to as the "Expo"), jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, is one of the four major trade fairs for import and export commodities in China. It is held every May in the famous port city of Ningbo.

The Consumer Expo will be held from May 15th to 18th, 2025, with an exhibition area of 120000 square meters and exhibition areas including boutique halls, home furnishings, kitchen supplies, stationery and outdoor leisure products, gifts and handicrafts.

The "2025 Central and Eastern European Countries Expo" (referred to as the "Central and Eastern European Exhibition"), jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the business departments of Central and Eastern European countries, will be held simultaneously with the "Consumer Expo".

Before and during the exhibition, shuttle buses will be opened from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Hongqiao International Airport, and People's Square to Ningbo, providing free transportation for overseas merchants attending the event.

The organizing committee cordially invites domestic and foreign merchants to participate in exhibitions or make purchases.

[City Profile] Ningbo is located in the middle of the eastern coastline of Chinese Mainland and the south wing of the economically developed Yangtze River Delta, adjacent to Shanghai and Hangzhou. Ningbo is a "relatively large city in China" that is open to the outside world, enjoys provincial-level economic management authority, and has the power to formulate local regulations. It is a national historical and cultural city. The total area of the city is 9365 square kilometers, with a population of over 10 million.

Ningbo has favorable conditions for economic development, and since the reform and opening up, the city's economy and society have experienced rapid growth. Ningbo has become an important industrial city and foreign trade port in East China, the central city and heavy chemical industry base of the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, and the economic center of Zhejiang Province. In 2015, Ningbo achieved a regional gross domestic product of 801.15 billion yuan, an increase of 8.0% compared to the previous year at comparable prices. Calculated based on the permanent population, the per capita regional GDP of the city is 102475 yuan (equivalent to 16453 US dollars at an average annual exchange rate).
