1、 Project Background

Hebei Province is a province with a high degree of aging population. As of the end of 2021, there were 15.07 million elderly people aged 60 and above in the province, accounting for 20.23% of the total population. Among them, 11.11 million people aged 65 and above, accounting for 14.92% of the total population. There are 1777 elderly care institutions with 238000 beds in the province. The coverage rate of home-based elderly care service centers in urban streets is 100%, and 4991 day care service facilities have been built in 4717 urban communities in the province, making it the first province in China to achieve full coverage.

In order to adapt to the trend of aging population and better meet the growing multi-level and diversified elderly care service needs of the elderly, Hebei Province is striving to enhance the demonstration effect of coordinated elderly care services in 14 counties (cities, districts) around Beijing, taking into account diversified elderly care service needs. We adhere to the principles of government leadership and social participation, equal emphasis on facility construction and capacity improvement, and integration of career progress and industrial development. We will ensure basic bottom line, stabilize basic needs and fill gaps, optimize supply and promote balance, accelerate the high-quality development of elderly care services in the province, and strive to build Hebei into a blessed land in the capital where the elderly can have a sense of security and happiness.

The 2024 China (Hebei) International Elderly Care and Assistive Equipment Expo, with the theme of "Building a Blessed Land in the Capital and Enjoying Elderly Care in Hebei", aims to promote the development of the elderly care industry, optimize the supply of health care resources, and effectively meet the diverse and multi-level service needs of different types of elderly people. It is an important content and inevitable requirement to promote the comprehensive development of the elderly and enhance their well-being.
