In recent years, developed countries and regions such as Europe, the United States, and Japan have successively formulated and introduced relevant regulations to restrict the use of non degradable plastics through measures such as partial bans, restrictions, mandatory collection, and pollution taxes, vigorously developing fully biodegradable new materials. As of September 2019, the global annual production capacity of bioplastics was 2.114 million tons, of which biodegradable plastics (including PBAT, PBS, PLA, PHA, starch based biodegradable plastics, and other biodegradable plastics) accounted for 55.5%, or 1.174 million tons. By 2024, the global annual production capacity of biodegradable plastics will reach 1.334 million tons, with a compound annual growth rate of 2.7%.

From 2020 to 2021, multiple countries in Asia have implemented plastic restriction policies, including China, Pakistan, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Algeria, and others. In the coming period, the demand for biodegradable plastics in Asia is expected to grow rapidly, potentially replacing Europe as the largest consumer market for biodegradable plastics.

The 25th China International Industrial Fair and International Biodegradable Plastic Products Exhibition will be held from September 23-27, 2025 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). For 24 years, CIIF has been committed to providing exhibitors with more market opportunities and professional services. Market background

Since 2015, the China International Fair for Industry and Technology will be relocated to the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). The National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) is located in the core area of Shanghai Hongqiao CBD, adjacent to the Hongqiao transportation hub, and is currently the largest exhibition complex in the world.

The 25th China International Industrial Fair will be held from September 23 to 27, 2025 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), with 9 major professional exhibitions and a planned area of 270000 square meters. It is expected that more than 2300 exhibitors will participate and over 120000 domestic and foreign professional visitors will visit.
