1、 Preface

Developing clean energy is an important strategic measure to protect the ecological environment and meet the sustainable energy needs of humanity. It is also an important way for China to develop new quality productive forces, promote new industrialization, and achieve high-quality economic development. Green methanol, as a potential clean and renewable fuel, is gradually receiving attention. In 2023, green methanol suddenly rose to the forefront, igniting the global investment market. On the foreign front, the EU Innovation Fund supports Sweden with 97 million euros for the large-scale development of sustainable green methanol technology; Global shipping giant Maersk plans to invest $15 billion to establish a green methanol production and refueling network in the Suez Canal, and has signed a long-term green methanol procurement agreement with Goldwind Technology for an annual output of 500000 tons to support the low-carbon operation of its 12 methanol dual fuel container transport ships. Domestically, state-owned enterprises such as Datang Corporation and China Energy Engineering Group have rapidly entered the green methanol industry by establishing joint ventures or strategic alliances. As of the end of 2023, there are a total of 24 planned and under construction green methanol projects in China, with a total annual production capacity of about 8 million tons and an investment of about 150 billion yuan. In order to promote the demonstration, application, exchange and cooperation of global methanol fuel application equipment, the "2025 China International Methanol Vehicle and Vessel and Methanol Fuel Application Transport Equipment Exhibition and Forum" (referred to as CMAE) jointly organized by the National Alcohol Ether Fuel Standardization Technical Committee, the Clean Energy Vehicle and Vessel Branch of the China Transport Association, the Low Carbon Fuel Vehicle Branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and other units will be held at the National Agricultural Exhibition Hall in Beijing from March 18-20, 2025. The expected exhibition area is 5000 square meters, with 80 exhibitors.

As a global event in the methanol fuel application equipment industry, CMAE has high-end features (inviting leaders from regulatory authorities, domestic and international industry organizations) and comprehensive features (covering methanol: automotive, shipbuilding, production, application equipment, storage, transportation, refueling, etc.), showcasing the latest achievements of international methanol equipment in recent years in all aspects, and continuously organizing a series of long-term, influential, and high-level professional events for methanol equipment.

2、 Previous Review

The first China International Methanol Vehicle and Fuel Application Forum was held on May 24, 2024 at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) in Beijing. More than 20 well-known professors and experts in the industry were invited to give speeches, chaired by Zhao Jianbin, Director of the Coal Coke Inspection Room of the National Coal and Coal Chemical Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center. The first important speaker was Wei Anli, Secretary General of the Expert Guidance Committee for the Promotion and Application of Methanol Vehicles under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Chang Yonglong, Deputy Secretary General of the National Alcohol Ether Fuel Standardization Committee. In addition, Associate Professor Zhu Jianjun from Taiyuan University of Technology, Deputy Secretary General Zhao Ming from the Alcohol Ether Clean Vehicle Professional Committee, Deputy Director Yao Chunde from Tianjin University, and experts from methanol manufacturing enterprises were invited to discuss and exchange ideas on the current situation of methanol economy and vehicle and vessel development. 230 attendees attended the forum, which achieved complete success and contributed wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of methanol vehicles and ships, with far-reaching influence!

2. The forum will invite the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Institute of Highways, the Institute of Transportation Science, the Institute of Water Transport, the Maritime Safety Administration, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau, automobile manufacturing, boat manufacturing, methanol transportation and refueling enterprises, methanol vehicle and vessel special parts, PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, energy companies, logistics and express delivery, investment and financing institutions, boiler, kiln, chemical and other methanol production and application enterprises, scientific research institutions to participate in the forum exchange.

3. Forum fees: The forum will invite more than 30 scientific research institutions, academicians, professors, and experts to give lectures and exchange ideas on site. Exhibitors can voluntarily apply for forum speeches and technical exchanges. Domestic enterprises are charged 30000 yuan, and overseas enterprises are charged 6000 US dollars. The time is 25 minutes (the speech unit is named as the co organizer of the forum, and the company logo is displayed on the on-site billboards and conference rooms).
