Industry background

The supply and demand relationship in China's real estate industry has undergone significant changes, shifting from a supplier centric approach to a demand centric approach. The way out for the transformation of the real estate industry is to build high-quality residential properties. Green buildings have become a standard feature for high-quality residential buildings.

The construction sector is an important area for energy consumption and carbon emissions in China, and also a key area for achieving China's 2030 carbon reduction goals. At present, China's construction industry has entered a new stage of green and low-carbon development. The "14th Five Year Plan for Building Energy Conservation and Green Building Development" issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development points out that by 2025, more than 350 million square meters of existing building energy-saving renovation will be completed, more than 50 million square meters of ultra-low energy and near zero energy buildings will be constructed, and prefabricated buildings will account for 30% of newly built urban buildings that year. The newly added solar photovoltaic installed capacity in buildings nationwide will be over 50 million kilowatts, and the application area of geothermal energy in buildings will be over 100 million square meters. The renewable energy substitution rate in urban buildings will reach 8%, and the proportion of electricity consumption in building energy consumption will exceed 55%.

About exhibitions

The 2024 Green Building Expo adheres to the concept of "low-carbon, healthy, intelligent, and safe", focuses on industrialization, digitization, and greening, and promotes the sustainable development of the entire green building industry chain from the entire life cycle of building materials, prefabricated construction, and operation and maintenance, practicing the theme of "green and low-carbon, empowering high-quality housing".

After 18 years of industry accumulation, the Green Building Expo has been dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for green buildings, from new construction to existing building renovations, from architectural design to green construction, and then to energy-saving operations. From single innovative technologies to system integration solutions, it is committed to bridging the closed loop of the industrial chain. This year's exhibition focuses on two major sectors: building energy conservation and villa systems. The Expo has a planned exhibition area of 25000 square meters, with 400 enterprises participating and an expected professional audience of over 30000. It will attract professional visitors from government departments, industry associations, research institutes, real estate developers, design institutes, construction units, decoration and renovation companies, trade dealers, investment and financing institutions, public institutions, energy-saving service providers, private owners and other provinces and cities across the country, to jointly build a platform for the full industry chain docking of green building materials.

Previous Review

The 2023 Green Building Expo is themed around "Green, Low Carbon, and Energy saving Transformation". Set up four thematic sections: building energy conservation, prefabricated buildings, interior decoration, and villa supporting facilities. 359 companies participated in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of 25000 square meters. The 3-day exhibition attracted 20280 professional visitors. Focusing on hot areas such as contract energy management, wall insulation, energy equipment, new building energy, water-saving technology, coatings, fire-resistant building materials, plastic wood, steel structures, wooden structures, modular buildings, prefabricated decoration, interior decoration, kitchen and bathroom, interior wall coatings, villa accessories, seam sealants, and high-end decorative building materials. Showcase green building materials solutions and share cutting-edge energy-saving concepts.

On the exhibitor side, a total of 359 domestic and foreign building materials companies participated in the exhibition. Among them, there are 336 domestic exhibitors and 23 overseas exhibitors.

In terms of audience, the 3-day exhibition attracted a total of 20280 professional visitors, including 19943 domestic visitors and 337 overseas visitors.

In terms of forums, there are various forms including industry development themed forums, villa design forums, and enterprise new product launches. There were 6 on-site events, with a total of more than 50 speakers giving speeches, attracting over 600 listeners. By leveraging the gathering advantages of industry professionals at the exhibition site, we aim to form multidimensional and in-depth exchanges and interactions on trends, products, and technologies.

Inviting government departments in charge of housing and construction systems from all over the country, as well as 35 industry associations, to visit the exhibition.
