The non-ferrous metal industry is the largest pillar industry in Jiangxi Province. The energy consumption "dual control" and "dual carbon" policies, as well as the new connotation of high-quality development, have put forward new requirements for the non-ferrous metal industry to grow and strengthen. Promoting the further healthy, rapid, and orderly development of the non-ferrous metal industry, enhancing its core competitiveness, is an inevitable requirement for achieving the transition from a province with abundant non-ferrous metal resources to a strong province in the non-ferrous metal industry. It is also an important lever to promote Jiangxi's carbon peak by 2030.

Relying on the rich non-ferrous mineral resources in Jiangxi Province, the non-ferrous metal industry in Jiangxi has developed rapidly, continuously expanded in scale, and continuously improved in level. It has become the largest pillar industry in Jiangxi, and is currently a key "trillion level" industry cultivated in Jiangxi. It is undoubtedly the "ballast stone" of Jiangxi's manufacturing industry. Jiangxi has become an important non-ferrous metal mining and production base in China. Jiangxi Province has superior geological conditions for mineralization and abundant mineral resources. It is one of the important non-ferrous, rare earth, rare earth, and uranium mineral bases in China, with a relatively high degree of mineral resource matching. Jiangxi's seven major types of mineral resources, including copper, tungsten, rare earth, uranium, tantalum niobium, gold, and silver, are known as the "Seven Flowers". According to the "2+6+N" action plan for high-quality leapfrog development of industries in Jiangxi Province, the main revenue of the non-ferrous industry in the province is expected to reach trillions.

In order to promote the healthy development of the non-ferrous metal industry in Jiangxi Province, promote foreign economic and trade cooperation, and guide the non-ferrous metal industry in Jiangxi Province to align with international standards, the organizing committee has decided to hold the "2024 China (Jiangxi) International Nonferrous Metal Industry Exhibition" from March 28 to 30, 2024 at the Nanchang International Expo Center after conducting multiple grassroots market research and project analysis with government regulatory departments/industry associations.
