[Exhibition Introduction]

The Shanghai Tourism Industry Expo TPS (abbreviated as the Shanghai Tourism Expo) is a comprehensive tourism industry expo cluster with a leading global scale and concept. It is held in Shanghai from the end of March to the beginning of April each year, aiming to promote the upgrading of tourism destinations and investment and cooperation in related industries, empowering the entire industry chain. As a cluster exhibition, the Shanghai Tourism Expo TPS integrates tourism resource development and investment, hotel and commercial space tourism facilities, catering facilities and food culture, travel and outdoor activities, international events and important forum activities. It has been included in the Shanghai "14th Five Year Plan" tourism peak project, helping Shanghai become a gateway for Asian tourism investment.

TPS was established in 2021 at the Shanghai Tourism Expo. The exhibition covers investment, development, and promotion of tourism destinations, theme project planning and operation, introduction of innovative projects, intelligent upgrading, IP creation and authorization, etc., providing a one-stop solution and tourism resource element trading platform for the upgrading of tourism destinations through "innovation planning investment development investment attraction operation promotion".

Recently, according to the prediction of the China Tourism Research Institute, the number of domestic tourists in the summer of 2023 is expected to reach 1.331 billion, accounting for 20.18% of the total number of domestic tourists for the year, during the most concentrated period of holidays for primary, secondary, and tertiary students from July to August. The data from airlines and railways also confirms that the number of summer trips this year has exceeded that of 2019. The performance of listed OTAs and hotel groups in the first half of this year has also significantly improved, and expectations for growth in the second half of the year have been raised. While the number of tourists is increasing, it also exposes various problems such as the quality of tourism services, the reception capacity of tourist destinations, and the design of tourism products. Meanwhile, with the entry of Generation Z and retirees born in the 1960s and 1970s, China's tourism industry is facing a new stage of upgrading and upgrading. To this end, the Shanghai Tourism Industry Expo is facing industry hotspots and pain points, actively preparing for the relevant exhibition organization work of the 2024 exhibition, hoping to build a higher quality and more cross industry commercial exchange platform for the improvement and upgrading of the tourism industry.

Overview of the 2023 Shanghai Tourism Industry Expo: The four major cluster exhibitions attracted a total of 407000 visitors, setting a new historical high. At the theme hall of the Shanghai Tourism Industry Expo, 59718 visitors came from a wide range of sources, fully demonstrating the attractiveness of "tourism+" and bringing various possibilities for exhibitors to expand their markets across borders.

Among the 8.2 exhibition halls under the theme hall, 692 exhibitors (including 310 coffee festivals) cover tourism destinations, health and medical tourism, road tourism, rural tourism, intangible cultural heritage tourism, tourism services and supporting facilities, digital cultural tourism, transportation, coffee brands, and coffee shops. The audience attracted includes professional audiences in the fields of tourism, tourism+, and big health, accounting for approximately 42.84% of the total audience, while individual audiences account for approximately 52.16%. The cultural and tourism matching event held during the same period of the exhibition attracted 29 strong financial and industrial capital to participate, accurately matching 103 pairs. Seven professional forums, 137 speakers and over 1900 professional listeners, were held on-site to discuss industry trends and hot topics.
