About exhibitions
Fujian Province is a major province in the bamboo industry. The relevant person in charge of the Consumer Products Department of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology stated that after years of development, the bamboo industry has become an important industry in promoting rural revitalization, stabilizing agriculture, and increasing income in our province. The current bamboo forest area is 18.19 million mu, accounting for 13.8% of the total forest area in the province. According to the variety, there are mainly bamboo, hemp bamboo, green bamboo, bitter bamboo, thunder bamboo, tea pole bamboo, yellow sweet bamboo, etc. Among them, bamboo is the most common, with 16.86 million mu, accounting for 92% of the total bamboo forest area. According to usage, dual-purpose bamboo is mainly used for both timber and bamboo shoots, covering an area of 12.52 million mu, accounting for 69% of the total bamboo forest area; 3.87 million mu of bamboo for timber use, accounting for 21%; 1.12 million mu of edible bamboo, accounting for 6%; Pulp bamboo, landscape bamboo and other bamboo species cover an area of 680000 acres, accounting for 4%. Six counties (cities and districts) including Jian'ou, Yong'an, Shaxian, Shunchang, Mount Wuyi and Youxi were rated as "Hometowns of Bamboo in China" by the State Forestry Administration.
Bamboo is a green, low-carbon, and biodegradable biomass material that can replace some non degradable plastic products. At the same time, bamboo is a fast-growing and renewable resource with a short growth cycle, which can take 4 to 5 years to mature. However, the mature cycle of wood is generally more than 10 years, and bamboo can replace some wood products. At present, China has formed a complete production chain for the bamboo industry, and "replacing plastic with bamboo" products are emerging like mushrooms after rain.
