The Consortium of Life Science Societies of China Association for Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as "the Consortium") is the first consortium of life science societies of China Association for Science and Technology. It was jointly initiated by 11 national societies in the field of life science affiliated to China Association for Science and Technology. The inaugural meeting was held in Beijing on October 15, 2015. Leaders of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology attended the founding conference, and focused on the role and significance of the association.

The establishment of the association is not only an important measure for the reform of the science and technology system, but also an innovative measure for the reform of the mass work, and also a specific measure to comply with the development law of modern science and technology.
