It is estimated that during the 14th Five Year Plan period from 2021 to 2025, the newly increased installed capacity in China will reach 90~100GW.

Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently issued the Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of Roof PV Power Generation in Henan Province, which released the list of roof distributed PV development pilots in all counties (cities, districts) of Henan Province. After 66 counties (cities, districts) are completed, 240 million square meters of roof can be effectively developed, about 15 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power can be built, about 60 billion yuan of direct investment can be made, and the annual power generation can reach 15 billion kilowatt hours. Against this background, in the first half of 2022, Henan Province's distributed photovoltaic construction has made great progress and achieved gratifying results. As of the end of June, Henan Province has added 5.4GW of photovoltaic installed capacity, including 4.445GW of household photovoltaic installed capacity, ranking first among all provinces in China; The installed capacity of industry and commerce increased by 755MW, a significant increase over the same period in 2021. On August 21, 2022, Henan Development and Reform Commission officially issued the Notice on the Implementation Plan of Henan's "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" New Energy Storage. The plan specifies the development goal of new energy storage in Henan Province: by 2025, the installed capacity of new energy storage will be 2.2 million kilowatts, and by 2030, the new energy storage will be fully market-oriented.

3. Henan issued policies to seize the "new track" of hydrogen energy

In September 2022, the Medium and Long term Plan for the Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry in Henan Province (2022-2035) and the Work Plan for the Planning and Construction of the Zhengbian Luopu Hydrogen Corridor were released, which defined that the hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industry will be developed as a strategic emerging industry and a key industry in the future. By 2025, the annual output value of Henan hydrogen energy industry will exceed 100 billion yuan. More than 100 enterprises related to the industrial chain will be established, and more than 5000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will be promoted and demonstrated. Three to five green hydrogen demonstration projects will be built. The Zhengbian Luopu hydrogen corridor has been basically completed, the demonstration and application of Zhengzhou fuel cell vehicle urban agglomeration has achieved remarkable results, and the national advanced manufacturing cluster of hydrogen energy has been initially built.

4. Wind power market, Henan out of the circle

On October 20, 2022, Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued the Notice on Issuing the Development Plan of 2022 Wind Power and Photovoltaic Power Generation Projects. According to the documents, Henan Province has issued a total of 5.071 million kilowatts of development plans for 2022 wind power and photovoltaic power generation projects. Among them, 350000 kilowatts of centralized photovoltaic and 161020 kilowatts of distributed photovoltaic; Wind power is 4.56 million kilowatts. The energy storage configuration is required to be 20%~55% with a duration of 2~4 hours.
