Turkey's household goods industry aims to increase exports by 15% in 2019, the president of the Turkish household goods association said recently.

Burak onder, head of the Turkish Association of manufacturers and exporters of household and kitchen products, said: "we will focus on market diversification and different marketing methods to achieve the export target of 3 billion US dollars."

Onder stressed that in 2018, Turkey's exports of household and kitchen products exceeded US $2.5 billion, an increase of 9.8% year on year. Latin America, the Far East and sub Saharan Africa are targeted for 2019.

Referring to the Turkish market, he said that Turkey's market size was about $6 billion and the industry had a surplus of $2 billion.
